Sir James Altham - so much more than just swimming.
The swimming Pool is a small, friendly, community pool with specialised facilities for people with disabilities. The Pool offers a wide range of activities including early morning swims, children’s and adults’ lessons, parent/ baby and toddler sessions, ladies–only swimming times with a female lifeguard and aqua exercise classes both daytime and evenings.
We have a thriving swimming club and lifesaving courses. For younger children there are supersplash sessions with a giant inflatable as well as a Young Adult Membership Scheme and holiday playschemes for children of eight years and over. The pool also boasts dedicated facilities for disabled customers.
The pool is available to hire for
galas, birthday parties and club use. There
is also a small activity room which can be hired for meetings.
The site also offers external
facilities; two floodlit sand filled Astroturf pitches. These can be booked on
a casual basis via our online booking service.
